Gill Low
I am a professional artist living and working in Fife. My mother sent me to painting classes at the age of 9 to Gray's School of Art. I have been drawing and painting all my life. I was born in Aberdeen and at an early age had Eric Auld as an art tutor.
At Art School my lecturers were Bill Littlejohn ,Sandy Fraser, Francis Walker and Joyce Cairns.
At the moment my bread and butter work is pet portraits but I have been greatly influenced by the Scottish landscape. I am very much influenced by light and the weather of Scotland. I like to capture the early morning sun and the climatic changes in Scotland. I have always been very impressed by the sunsets on the west coast. I use acrylics and watercolours for painting. At the moment I am doing demonstrations at care homes and at art clubs in the Fife area.
